Hospice care workers gather to learn during Rural Hospice Day 2023 in Carleton Place
Hospice Renfrew hopes a full day of networking will bridge the gaps in end-of-life care.
They’re set to host Rural Hospice Day this Tuesday, November 5th, at the myFM Centre as part of a cooperative effort alongside Beth Donovan Hospice, whose Outreach Coordinator, Amy Tibben, says will center around improving hospice care in rural settings.
The third annual edition of Rural Hospice Day continues the Beth Donovan Hospice’s effort to take the conversations needed to fix gaps in the current state of hospice care out of the major cities and into the communities that require special consideration.
General admission is $65 per guest, with tickets still on sale ahead of Saturday’s slate of networking, resource sharing, discussions, and the chance to hear from a top expert in the field.
Tibben says the day is open to anybody in a related health care field, including hospital staff and home caregivers, adding that anyone who has worked in their profession understands that chances to learn about health care can be as expensive as it is important.
