The fans of local junior hockey continue to step up in support of people in need across our community.
The Renfrew Jr. A Wolves and Jr. B Timberwolves teams used this past weekend’s slate of games to announce a major contribution to the Renfrew and District Food Bank, donating 125 pounds of food and $500 thanks to help from their fans.
Both the Wolves and Timberwolves regularly team up for initiatives benefiting the food bank and other worthy causes, including their most recent Food Drive games over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The Wolves organization has sent a special thank you over social media, saying that the contribution will make a difference and urging fans to continue “showing the strength of the Wolves’ spirit, both on and off the ice.”
