It’s time to start thinking about clearing up the yard ahead of winter.
The Town of Renfrew is offering three free curbside pickups for leaf and yard waste this fall, starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8th.
Residents with yard waste can leave it on the curb in biodegradable paper bags or bound bundles no bigger than 5 feet long or 2 feet in diameter, either of which cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Unbundled waste will not be collected, and anything put out after 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday is not guaranteed to be collected, either.
You can also drop off leaves and grass clippings at the Bruce Street landfill for no charge all year-round.
The town has an FAQ on yard waste and collection guidelines on their website.
