Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home offered their annual “Shred-It Day” Saturday.
Coordinator Suzanne Giroux says folks were lined up with their bankers boxes of materials at 9AM, even before the Shred-It truck arrived.
Seniors-at-Home Volunteer and Board Treasurer Sylvia shared an interim total during our visit.
Oldies 107.7 stopped by when the event still had an hour remaining; in the end, over $3500 has been raised- the best total ever.
Giroux says the change to a Fall date for Shred-It Day may become permanent, given this weekend’s evidence.
Businesses and residents were able to have their materials shredded for $10 per bankers box.
Proceeds from Shred-It Day go toward the local share of maintenance for Seniors-at-Home activities.
