The only thing foul about the games played at Ma-te-Way Park over the weekend was the eventual winners.
Team Foul Balls were crowned champions in the Town of Renfrew’s first ever Co-ed 3-Pitch Charity softball tournament on Saturday, September 21st, which finally got a chance to show overwhelming support for community members facing food insecurity after getting rained out ahead of Canada Day.
Town staff are sending a heartfelt thanks to local tournament organizer Steve Madaire, as well as the volunteers, umpires, players, and everyone behind the scenes who helped to raise a truckload of food and over $1,100 to support the Renfrew and District Food Bank.
