On September 16, 2024, Arnprior officers responded to a driving complaint on John Street North around 4:20 p.m. Upon arrival, they located a driver and conducted an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test, revealing the individual was over twice the legal alcohol limit. Robert Ronald Habecker, 46, from Calgary, Alberta, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) over 80.
Later that evening, around 11:50 p.m., Renfrew officers responded to a report of threats on Raglan Street. The suspect was found, administered an ASD test, and arrested. Dustin Christopher Martin Dougall, 29, of Renfrew, was charged with impaired driving, BAC over 80, having liquor readily available, driving without insurance, uttering threats, and trespassing at night.
Both individuals were released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
