Businesses and organizations of Renfrew County, would you like to win a Ribfest barbecue party for your group?
Renfrew County Ribfest organizer Dennis Nephin tells us a bit more about the upcoming event, which is scheduled for Sept. 27-29 in Pembroke.
Along with Ribfest’s mouthwatering barbecue from the top teams in North America, attendees will enjoy a Family Zone, games, activities, contests, and a full lineup of free entertainment.
But, there’s a special prize up for grabs for one lucky business or office, and you can get started on that now.
And while there will be prizes for the business that collects the most food, all corporate donations will earn an entry.
Any sized donation is welcome, he added.
Nephin says that not only is Ribfest a fun, free community festival, organizers want to be a part of the community, as a thank you for the festival support.
With the help of sponsors, including food bank champion Coleman Insurance and title sponsor myFM, Ribfest will support several of the community’s significant non-profits, including the St. Joseph’s Food Bank and Robbie Dean Counselling Centre
Anyone who would like to be involved with Ribfest, whether it’s a business looking to sponsor, a group that wants to use the platform to promote a non-profit or a sports team, etc., is welcome to reach out, said Nephin.
Volunteers are also needed and welcomed, he added.
Renfrew County Ribfest runs Sept. 27-29 at Pembroke Waterfront Park. More details, including the entertainment lineup, will be announced in the coming days.
