If you’re in the mood for a fun way to support a good cause this Saturday, head to Ma-te-Way Park for the Sending Off Summer Barbecue in support of Renfrew and Area Seniors’ Home Support.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and along with Big Red BBQ’s delicious beef on a bun and hot dogs, there will be a Valley Cruisers Car Show, live music from Kitchen Party from noon to 2 p.m., a 50/50 draw, and kids’ activities that include bubbles, balloons and face painting.
This event was previously scheduled for earlier this month but weather forced a date change.
“Join us for a fun-filled day of activities and support for seniors and disabled adults. Despite the rain expected on the previous date, we have a new venue and date set up and are excited to see you there,” reads a press release.
