The centrepiece of the Racing Season in the Ottawa Valley runs all weekend in Calabogie. The Summer Classic brings seven racing series to Calabogie Motorsports Raceway this weekend, including the first local run of the Miata Canada Cup. More details and tickets can be found online.
St. Andrew’s United Church, 1044 Madawaska St. in Calabogie, is hosting a fish fry this Saturday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Enjoy a delicious platter of fried fish, fries, lemon, tartar sauce, coleslaw, cake, tea/coffee and cold drinks. Cost – for 2 pieces of fish $20, for 1 piece $15.
Sunday, at the Old Town Hall on Micksburg Road, at 2 p.m., the Bromley Historical Society is pleased to present a talk by canoeist and conservationist Fred Blackstein on “The Ottawa’s History – A Paddler’s Journey.” The presentation is free to the public.
