If you’re in the mood for a freaky Friday, head to the RCAF Wing in Renfrew for a fundraising event like no other.
It’s Halloween in July and there’s plenty of spooky (and non-spooky) fun for attendees of ages.
“The event is free but we are taking cash donations at the door. A $5 donation will get you a ticket for our raffle table,” said organizer Tina Carr. “We have some great items that were donated by businesses and private individuals for people to win.”
Costumes are encouraged but not required and activities include live music, craft and gift vendors, on-site piercings and tattoos, food, music and more from 5 p.m. to midnight.
“Halloween in July will feature some wickedly wonderful and different vendors selling their wares. And we have two great musical acts – Aerik Watson and Cosmic Cows,” said Carr.
Kids’ activities, running from 5-8 p.m., include glitter tattoos, face painting, colouring station, balloon animals with Unicorn Kitty and a costume/dress-up table.
Halloween in July is a fundraiser for the Arnprior Witch Walk, a community event in downtown Arnprior the last Saturday of October.
“We are fortunate to have participants from as far as Deep River come out. The last two years myself and a few others have paid the bill for the event (advertising, supplies/decor, etc). So we thought we might have a party and try to lessen the burden on our wallets,” said Carr.
