On July 18, 2024, officers from the Killaloe Detachment responded to a wellbeing check in the Township of Bonnechere Valley. Following the investigation, a 37-year-old resident of Laurentian Valley was arrested and charged with domestic mischief. The accused was released and will appear in court at a later date. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Two days later, on July 20, 2024, OPP officers attended a residence in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards. As a result of their investigation, a 38-year-old resident of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards was arrested and charged with multiple Criminal Code offences, including domestic assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death, and two counts of domestic assault. The accused was also released and will appear in court at a later date.
