This Wednesday is one of the biggest days of the year at Renfrew’s Tim Hortons franchises.
July 17th is Camp Day, which Renfrew franchise owners Richard and Shelly Dean describe as one of the biggest days of their year.
Local politicians, community groups, first responders, and other figureheads will join them behind the counter at their Stewart Street and O’Brien Road locations to help raise money for the Tims Camp program.
Proceeds from every coffee and iced coffee purchased on Wednesday will give two local underprivileged youth the opportunity to reach their full potential at Camp des Voyageurs Tim Horton in Quyon.
Shelly says putting the day together each year involves a lot of time and effort, but both she and Richard agree that getting the chance to regularly give back to the community is the best part of having taken over as owners a few years ago.
The Deans are already thanking their staff for the hard work that has been put into the preparations for Camp Day, adding that they expect another great turnout from Renfrew residents.
They admit they are very lucky to live and work in a community that is always willing to support the people who need that help the most.
100% of all proceeds from any coffee or iced coffee purchase, including their Take 12 carafe, will go directly towards sending a pair of Renfrew kids to Tims Camp.
Volunteers will be visible along the drive-throughs at both locations, accepting loose change. Customers ordering at the counter can also round up to the nearest dollar.
Camp Day window decals and bracelets will be available while supplies last, but their stock is limited.
