The Town of Renfrew has partnered with the Downtown Renfrew Business Improvement Area (BIA) to help urge pet owners to clean up their waste.
Officials say two convenient pet waste bag dispensers have been installed in the downtown core. One is located in front of the post office and the other in front of Scott and Son’s Hardware.
“These initiatives are part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that our downtown remains clean and welcoming for everyone. We truly appreciate the efforts of our community in helping to keep our flower beds looking amazing and our streets pristine,” reads a press release.
The town has also issued a reminder to all pet owners.
“While we love seeing your furry friends in our town, please help us preserve our lovely flower beds by keeping pets out of them. Let’s continue to work together to maintain the charm and cleanliness of our beautiful downtown!” reads the release.
Officials thank members of the public for their co-operation and support in making the community a beautiful place to live, work, and visit.
