The Kitchissippi-Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Council of Canadians was all gung-ho about its reception a couple of months back at Renfrew County Council; now, it feels it is being stone-walled.
The KOC was back last Wednesday at the County table, hoping to hear a promised update on their April deputation, but sorry, no cigar.
While video of the April session has Warden Emon making the committment for the climate issue to return to the table at the end of June, perhaps staff didn’t watch it.
Start watching at Minute 53: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Pbs9BRO7wE&t=3314s the warden’s remarks are bookmarked for all whom care to see.
The Climate matters group fears its dynamic presentation was undersold in the printed minutes as well.
Brief hallway dialogue with the CAO cites workload as the mitigating factor in slowing the hoped-for progress- meaning there’s still “a lot to do.”
