The only reason to leave this year’s Canada Day festivities in Renfrew is if you’ve had your fill.
The town’s programs specialist, Janyne Fraser, says they have taken local feedback on Canada Day to heart when putting together a full-day event at Ma-te-Way Park on July 1st.
Fraser says everyone is welcome to enjoy a games zone, a free barbeque, visits from the local fire department, activities and displays from Renfrew’s local museums, a beer tent, and more this Monday from 2:00 p.m. until fireworks at dusk.
Fraser is also thrilled by the line-up of local musicians, including Aerik Watson, Junkyard Symphony, the Blender Project, and a very special headline appearance.
Volunteers to help with the day’s festivities are still welcome to contact the town’s programs team via email or by calling 613-432-4848, ext. 118.
Keep in mind that construction crews are in the process of paving the myFM Centre’s new parking lot, and a portion of it may be closed to the public.
