Lewis Ward is ready to put points on the field for another season as the Ottawa REDBLACKS kicker.
Having won no more than four games in a season since 2018, the club and their fans are itching for a winner.
Ward told myFM the team is locked in and ready to go.
He went further to say some players are assuming leadership roles.
Ward is more optimistic they’ll turn things around in 2024.
But they’ll have to wait as they have a Week 1 Bye.
He weighed the pros and cons of a later start.
Ward says returning players have embraced a leadership role early, and the additions of Quarterback Dru Brown and Wide Receiver Dominique Rhymes will give them an offensive boost.
The REDBLACKS begin their season June 13th at home to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
