Construction season in Renfrew continues with a new phase of the major watermain replacement project near downtown.
Crews will begin work on the full road reconstruction of Hall Avenue between Plaunt and Barr Streets this week, including a complete overhaul of the watermain, sanitary sewer, and storm drain, as well as an upgrade to the sidewalks and replacement of asphalt.
It’s part of the same operation that has kept Argyle Street South open only for people visiting area businesses and saw detours around Opegono Road and Lochiel Street last year.
The town says that traffic control will be clearly marked, and personnel will be on site to help direct motorists and pedestrians while work commences.
