Golfers from across the Ottawa Valley will tee off for a good cause in just a couple of weeks.
Patti Dillabough, the Executive Director of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation, gives us the latest on one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.
Dillabough explains that everything is lining up well ahead of the RVH Golf Classic on June 14th at the Renfrew Golf Club, adding that their only worry right now is to avoid a stretch of bad weather like when last year’s wildfires forced them to postpone the tournament until September.
The money raised from the day will go into the Equip RVH campaign, purchasing lifesaving tools and machines that are not covered by government funding.
Dillabough says people who missed out on securing a tee time can still help the cause in other ways.
Two popular tie-ins will also make their return to the RVH Golf Classic, including a raffle for an 8′-by-10′ garden shed provided by Protyre Renfrew and the Renfrew Canadian Tire $5,000 Golf Ball Drop, which Dillabough notes was a big hit with the crowd in its first appearance last year.
Tickets for both draws are $10 each and can be purchased online through the RVH Foundation website.
