OFS says Woodroffe Avenue exits signs (eastbound and westbound), and the Pinecrest Road sign, were mounted by solo individuals concerned with Climate Inaction.
CityNews has identified the individuals as Louve Grondin, 21 and Vincent Thibault, 28, both from Quebec and Gift Marshall-Burghart, 25, of Toronto.
They quote Ottawa Ontario Provincial Police as saying the three were charged with mischief and common nuisance – endanger life.
The incidents, occurring at 9:34AM and 9:57AM, prompted significant delays and a multi-vehicle collision, but no injuries.
An Aerial truck and rope ladder rescue were used by Ottawa Fire Services and the last scene had been cleared by 10:24AM
