The Town of Renfrew and Pitch-in Canada challenge you to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up litter in your community.
While supplies last, for the entire month of April, gloves and yellow ‘Pitch-in Week’ bags are available from Town Hall, the Renfrew Public Library and the town’s recreation offices at the myFM Centre.
Municipal officials would love for participants to let them know about the area you plan to clean up to reduce doubling up efforts.
“Once you have filled your bag(s) with litter place them in a visible and accessible location along a municipal road and call the town to arrange a pickup,” reads a press release.
Two sizes of bags are available, small bags with handles that are great for children and standard large size bags.
The town is super grateful to all those working on cleaning up the community and would also love to see local environmental stewards in action.
“If you have any pictures from your cleanup that you are willing to share please email us!” reads the release.
For questions, to claim an area, or to arrange a pickup, please contact: Amanda Springer, Manager of Environmental Services at 613-432-4848 x 307 aspringer@renfrew.ca.
Earth Day is April 22, 2024.
