A mouth-watering documentary series will make one of its first stops in the Ottawa Valley.
Renfrew’s Manitou Bistro will host chef Douglas Ling for two days starting on Tuesday, March 26th, as he departs from his Maracas Restaurant in Toronto to discover unique flavours and the stories behind the incredible dishes across Canada.
Owner Suzette Foucault is thrilled that Chef Ling chose to drop in for a visit.
She says Chef Ling will even join staff in the kitchen for a first-hand experience.
Foucault says Ling reached out to her after hearing many good things from local diners about her brand of Indigenous and French-Canadian fusion cooking.
Chef Ling will be part of dinner service on Wednesday, and Foucault says news of his arrival has driven up demand. There may be just a few reservations left if you’re interested.
Foucault adds that the docuseries, which Ling has a teaser trailer for on his YouTube channel, will likely take some time to create following his visit, as he will kick off his journey in Ontario before heading towards each coast.
