UPDATE 1:45 p.m.
Renfrew OPP say that both drivers are alright after a pickup truck pulled out in front of a semi-trailer truck near the Tim Hortons on the corner of Stewart Street and Bruce Street on Friday morning.
Police confirm that the incident happened at around 9:15 this morning, as the semi-trailer had attempted to avoid the pickup before the collision.
The accident would crumple the pickup’s driver-side door and set off the airbags inside, while emergency crews would need to work quickly to clean the area near the semi-truck as it began leaking engine fluids onto the street.
Traffic in the area was snarled but still flowing around the accident as clean-up efforts continued on the scene.
