The McNab-Braeside Fire Department has raised the fire risk level for a second time in less than a week.
The initial statement came as at March 7th, because, according to Interim Fire Chief Jeff Crawford, fire season overtook us quickly.
Crawford says an incident in neighbouring Horton Township is example enough to bring the point home.
The vegetation above the ground is dead and tinder dry; it will be like this until it starts to green up in late April to early May.
The Level One Burn Ban for McNab-Braeside Township is effective immediately.
The McNab-Braeside interim chief says always adhere to the provisions in the Burn By-law in your jurisdiction of residence.
