The 2023 St. Patrick's celebration at the DACA Centre was another lively affair.
Those looking to kick off St. Patrick’s Day celebrations a little early need only don some green and head to Dacre this Saturday, March 9.
It’s one of the longest running local celebrations and once again this year, St. Paddy’s Day at the DACA Centre is shaping up to be a banner event, say organizers.
Lynn Gavin, who grew up in Dacre, has been president of the DACA Centre for the past six years and says the celebration has been running for as long as she can remember.
What can event attendees expect?
The fun gets underway midday.
Entertainers include Louis Schryer, The Ryans, Terri-Lynn Mahusky, step dancers Gaia and Nairi Adjemian, the Town Pants and The Fiddlaires, joined by Kyle McKey.
If you want to guarantee entry, it’s best not to dilly dally.
Attendees needn’t go hungry either.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Entertainment runs from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost to attend is $25, $13 for kids 13 and under.
The DACA Centre is located at 111 Flat Road in Dacre.
