Pinnacle Animal Hospital hosts their Cupcake Day fundraiser on Monday, February 26th. They will be selling cupcakes and PUPcakes on National Cupcake Day for the 2nd year with all proceeds will go to a local animal organization. 8-5 or until out.
Author Jamie Bramburger leads a discussion his new book “Sudden Impact: The Almonte Train Wreck of 1942,” look at one of the worst tragedies to happen in the Ottawa Valley from the perspective of the families of those involved, Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Campus of Algonquin College.
The Town of Renfrew hosts a senior and tots skate at the myFM Centre this Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Don’t forget your skates and helmet!
Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church in Renfrew hosts a community friendship meal every 4th Tuesday at their Plaunt Street location. The next one is this Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

LOCAL SPORTS: Support Our Teams!
In the Minor Hockey: The Under 13 House League 1 – Charbonneau Grocers host the Arnprior Packers 1 at the myFM Centre’s Pad 1, Monday night at 7:30.
Two Renfrew sides will face off on Tuesday night in Under 11 House League play: Renfrew Pro Hockey Tape hosts Hultink on Pad 2 starting at 6:00 p.m.
Another local Tuesday game in Under 18 House League action, Pikwakanagan Fuels will play as the hosts against B&M Motorsports. Puck drops on Pad 2 at 9:00 p.m.
At the Jr. A level: The Renfrew Wolves host the Cornwall Colts at the myFM Centre on Saturday, March 2nd. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
The Jr. B Timberwolves head to Richmond this Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. for Game Three of their first round playoff series with the Royals. The series is tied 1-1.
