An Arnprior mom is expressing her thanks to all those who helped in the minutes and hours following an incident that injured her 11-year-old son.
The boy was inside the W.O. Stinson and Son gas station on Vanjumar Drive in Arnprior when a vehicle crashed through the window; he received minor injuries.
Nicole Brazeau, who received a call her son had been injured and rushed to the scene, told Oldies that he is still a little sore but recovering and resting at home.
She took to social media to say how grateful she is.
“I want to take the thank all the paramedics, police officers, nurses, the doctor, employees at Stinson and anyone else that was there to help. Especially the paramedic that kept my son distracted during a very stressful time and the police officers that stayed with us and even brought us back home from the hospital,” she wrote.
Ontario Provincial Police Acting Sgt. Brianna Roberge said an updated report indicates the driver of the vehicle likely suffered a “medical situation.”
No one else, including the driver, was injured in the crash, and charges are not expected.
“It was accidental and there will be no charges,” said Roberge.
