A nice chunk of change has been raised right here in Renfrew in support of treating a rare neurogenetic condition.
Odi’s Kingburger was raising and matching donations as part of International Angelman Syndrome Day this past Thursday, February 15th.
Odi’s daughter, Robin Hisko, says the effort brought in over $2,000, which has been set aside for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
The cause is a personal one for the Kingburger family, as Robin’s daughter and Odi’s granddaughter, 10-year-old Ever, lives with the rare condition that causes developmental delays in children.
Hisko sends a big thank you to the community, including Ever’s school, St. Thomas the Apostle in Renfrew, who showed their support for Angelman Syndrome Awareness on Thursday by once again dressing up in blue.
