The town of Renfrew is just about ready to have plenty of fun and games on the ice, in the snow, and even staying cozy indoors.
Frewfest, Renfrew’s winter carnival, will see residents snowshoeing, skating, climbing, sledding, quizzing, and playing across all three days over the Family Day Long Weekend, Saturday, February 17th to Sunday, February 19th.
The town’s programs specialist, Janyne Fraser, gives us a sneak peek at how things get started on Saturday, February 17th.
She adds that the town has packed all three days full to the brim with food, fun, and plenty to keep the kids busy all throughout Ma-te-Way Park, including multiple community meals that will be free while supplies last.
It all caps off on Sunday with a special match-up in the Battle of the Valley.
The public will get the chance to skate with the Jr. A Renfrew Wolves for free after the game.
Fraser is available to answer questions and take comments. Get in touch through Town Hall at 613-432-4848, ext. 118, or by emailing jfraser@renfrew.ca.
