A Facebook post asking about a possible party has quickly turned into a community wide event.
Renfrew resident Merv Warren takes myFM through how a question on social media turned into a massive party coming up at the Renfrew Wing.
As it turns out, interest in Merv’s Spring Fling at the Renfrew Wing was so strong that he went ahead and arranged it within two days of the sending the post.
Nearly 700 hundred people and counting have expressed their interest in attending the party, which will bring of live music and dancing to the Renfrew Wing on Saturday, March 2nd starting at 7:30 p.m.
Merv says a lot of those interested have also pledged to help with the food and drink.
He adds that it’s quickly become a regular topic in his daily conversations.
Admission to Merv’s Spring Fling at the Wing is a donation to the Renfrew and District Food Bank, who will have someone on hand to accept contributions.
The night will also feature a 50/50 draw in support of the Renfrew Wing.
