One highly touted feature of the new myFM Centre space is now officially open to everyone.
The brand new walking track, located above the second ice pad, is available for residents to use for free seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Residents can access the track through the existing arena, as well as by elevator and stairs, and town officials say signage directing people to the track will be going up in the coming weeks.
It’s not the only healthy addition on the way; as the town says the gymnasium, fitness centre, dance studio, and multipurpose rooms will be the next to open.
Health Canada says regular physical activity improves energy and strength while decreasing stress. It also prevents chronic diseases such as cancer, obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and more.
