The Immunization of School Pupils Act requires all students attending school in Ontario to be immunized according to the Province’s immunization schedule, and students may be suspended from school if their records are not submitted to the RCDHU.
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) has completed its annual review of student immunizations, and is in the process of mailing Immunization Notice letters to students either missing one or more shots according to Health Unit records.
Immunization Notices will specify which vaccines are missing from the student’s record and will outline how to update the student’s data.
Options include: submitting an updated immunization record via the secure online tool “ICON”: Immunization Connect Ontario Tool, by Email to immunization@rcdhu.com, or by phone (613-732-9436 or 1-833-773-0004) or fax (613-735-3067).
Contacting your health care provider to obtain information and any missing vaccinations.
Booking an appointment at an upcoming RCDHU community catch-up clinic, or if you are a High School student, by attending an in-school ISPA clinic.
Please visit the RCDHU’s Immunization webpage for further details.
