The Killaloe OPP are reminding the community to be cautious when it comes to financial investing.
People are becoming victims to crypto-currency scams on online platforms. The typical fraud offers a “get rich quick opportunity and higher normal returns”. This results in investors losing most if not all of their money. This means, victims are downloading a trading platform that are usually controlled by the scammer. after the investment, they are unable to get their money back.
You can protect yourself by, beware of scammers asking you to open and fund new crypto accounts, always question why someone is reaching out to you about investment offers, be wary of individuals who attempt to “educate” you on social media sites, lastly you should always invest through a trusted company or banking institute.
