The Central Canada Hockey League trading deadline arrives on January 10th.
A key contributor in the Junior A Renfrew Wolves sudden rise in the standings has earned a major honour.
Viacheslav Gordiechuk has been named the CCHL’s Goalie of the Month for December, putting up a 2.85 goals against average and a .913 save percentage over seven appearances.
He currently ranks in the league’s top ten in both of those stats over the first half of the season and is the current wins leader among CCHL goaltenders, with 14 in 27 appearances.
The Renfrew Wolves are off until Friday when they visit the Smiths Falls Bears. Game time is 7:30 and that’s a broadcast game on 96.1 myFM.
