Occupying an important place on the annual inventory of snow-related Valley festivities, is Arnprior.
Spokesperson Chris Toner says if you were keeping track of the number of consecutive occurrences for the Carnival, the list would be longer than his arm.
Chris says he’s become too lanky to defend the arm wrestling title in his middle years- and as a municipal politician now, he is obliged to fend off efforts to twist it.
One thing that has changed over the years is when the Carnival starts.
With the earlier start to the Arnprior Optimist Winter Carnival, more events are being added.
Kids can get in free to the hockey game with their carnival button.
All events require the $2.00 Optimist Button for admission- and with some there are event-specific fees.
