The Food Bank in Barry’s Bay may be on the move, depending on what happens later this month.
The Madawaska Valley Food Bank, which is currently located on Martin Street, wants to use part of the nearby St. Francis Valley Herb Farm as a new location.
The Township’s Planning Department has decided to hold a public meeting at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16th, to discuss rezoning the land for that use.
Residents can attend in-person or over Zoom, but township staff are asking people who plan to watch virtually to contact their Brittany Tomasini by phone at 613-756-2747, ext. 212, or by email at dclerk@madawaskavalley.ca no later than 2:00 p.m. the day before, Monday, January 15th.
