Latvia proved little challenge for a primed and ready Team Canada when the two sides faced off during this afternoon’s 10-0 group stage game at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship.
Team Canada Coach and Renfrew native Alan Letang got a front row seat to a dominating performance from his side, including a five-point performance from center Macklin Celebrini (1 goal, 4 assists) and a 22-save shutout from goaltender Mathis Rousseau.
Following the win, Canada sits alone at the top of Group A with 6 points. They play Sweden next on Friday afternoon at 1:30 Eastern Standard Time.
