We’ve all followed the renovations at Steelheads and Strikes, done in concert with the HGTV show, “Bryan’s All In”
Matt and Alicia Ott, the proprietors of the Bowling Alley on John Street, hosted TV’s Bryan Baeumler and his crew for an introductory episode and a yet-to-be aired reveal show, with a number of months of hard work between.
Oldies 107.7 asked Matt about the positive financial impact that has accompanied renovations.
He says although customers have seen pictures of the upgrades to Steelheads and Strikes online, there’s nothing like guaging the in-person reactions.
Ott says Baeumler’s television program is not your cookie-cutter Reno Show.
One thing Baeumler’s expertise covered was acoustics- important in the bowling business.
Matthew Ott says he and Alicia had to cobble together their own construction crew.
The decor and the acoustics have been taken care of, and will benefit the programming the Otts have in mind.
There’s one detail outstanding; an elixir to complement the good times.
You’d never know unless we told you, but Steelheads and Strikes, the oldest continuously operating bowling lane in Canada, is now the spiffiest and newest around.
