A new children’s book has deep ties to Renfrew Collegiate Institute.
RCI student Madyson O’Grady’s illustrations grace the first offering from former RCI staffer Terry Edwards, titled “My Invisible Locket.”
O’Grady tells myFM that the school connection played a big part in getting her to show off her artistic talent.
“My Invisible Locket” deals with the concept of grief and how parents and kids can have healthy conversations about it during difficult times such as the loss of a loved one.
O’Grady says the opportunity opened up new experiences for her, including the chance to try drawing in a new medium.
She hopes to use the chance to show off her work to bridge into other projects going forward.
