A post on the Galilee Centre Facebook page from December 8th portends good news:
“Advent is a time of waiting, and we have been so grateful for all those in the Galilee community who have been waiting with us in hope for more information about the future of Galilee Centre. We are now able to share that the Galilee Board of Directors is exploring options to keep Galilee Centre open in the long term.”
Oldies 107.7 spoke with Executive Director Megan Postin about those prospects.
Postin says that in order to concentrate on strategic planning, there will be a temporary closure of the facility.
The Executive Director says its premature to speculate on what a restructured Galilee might look like, but the prospects of a continuance are more exciting than focusing on winding operations down.
Postin concludes, “We are committed to full operations until October 31, 2024, looking toward continuing into the long term.”
