Renfrew OPP tell myFM that a pedestrian was struck at the corner of Gillan Road and O’Brien Road earlier this afternoon.
According to listener tips, emergency services first responded to the scene of the accident at around 2:30 p.m., and police confirm that the pedestrian has been taken to hospital to treat injuries.
Officers have closed down Gillan Road between the intersection with O’Brien Road and the side entrance to the nearby shopping centre, and both traffic and nearby residents can expect to see a heavy police presence, as well as fire and ambulance services, as their investigation continues over the next few hours.
