Renfrew and Arnprior OPP were kept busy over the past two weeks as they investigated 22 domestic disputes.
Local police have made seven arrests in relation to those investigations:
- One accused was charged with mischief, uttering threats, and aggravated assault.
- One accused was charged with assault and uttering threats.
- One accused was charged with breach of a conditional sentence order, assault, uttering threats, and overcoming resistance by choking.
- One accused was charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
- One accused was charged with failing to comply with a release order and resisting a peace officer.
- One accused was charged with failing to comply with undertaking x 2.
- One accused was charged with utter threats x 2 and weapons for a dangerous purpose x 2.
Meanwhile, the OPP reminds victims of domestic violence that the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is available 24/7 for information and support at 1-800-663-3060.

You could also attend the emergency department of any hospital in Renfrew County and ask to speak to a member of the Assault Response Team.
