Last week, the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board held its 2023 Inaugural Meeting at Bishop Smith Catholic High School in Pembroke. Father Holly celebrated the Eucharist before the meeting, welcoming the new governance year. The meeting saw Bob Schraeder acclaimed as Chair, while David Howard was acclaimed as the Vice Chair of the Board. Both mentioned how pleased they were to hear about the RCCDSB’s Alpha Sessions for Parents, which begin in January. Also included in the meeting were some highlights from the Board’s Annual Report. The Report featured positive EQAO results, outlined the Board’s Capital Projects and highlighted the Special Education Team’s first-ever multi-year strategic plan.
