Labour unrest is marching through Quebec this week, where public-sector unions are launching a series of strikes affecting most schools and health-care facilities.
They include teachers, nurses, and junior college professors, angry that contract talks have stalled with the provincial government.
Members of the so-called “common front” — four unions representing 420-thousand workers — will be on strike through Thursday even as the government yesterday named a conciliator to help advance their talks.
