You’ll be seeing a new-look Smile Cookie at the counters of both Tim Hortons locations in Renfrew all this week.
Franchise co-owners Richard and Shelly Dean say Tim Hortons is hosting its first ever Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign from now until Sunday, November 19th, with the proceeds being split between their Tims Camp initiative and a charity doing wonders for local youth.
The Young Parent Support Program offered by Renfrew’s Columbus House helps parents age 15 to 23 develop parenting and life skills while also offering resources like day care and help with online learning to further their education.
That’s more than enough to make it a worthy recipient, according to store manager Brittany Crawford.
Dean adds that moving the annual fundraiser to this time of year fills a major gap in the franchise’s calendar when it comes to supporting local charities.
The iconic Smile Cookie itself has been given a makeover for the occasion, going from chocolate chip to a festive sugar cookie featuring red and green sprinkles baked into the dough and a white chocolate icing smile.
Get yours today at the counter or by ordering online from either the O’Brien Road or Stewart Street locations.
If you’re ordering in bulk, be sure to fill out the downloadable form on the Tim Hortons website and hand it in to the location of your choice at least 24 hours ahead of pick-up.
