Deer rifle hunting season is set to open soon, and the OPP is urging everyone to stay informed.
While hunting seasons for most small game and geese are already underway in the area, the rifle hunting season specifically for deer, which involves using dogs, commences on Monday the 6th and extends until the 19th of November.
As individuals venture for a fall walk in the woods, the police recommend taking necessary precautions.
They advise enhancing visibility by donning bright “Hunter Orange” attire. Additionally, if bringing along a dog, it’s advisable to attach something brightly colored to their collar or affix a bell to ensure better visibility and safety.
