The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) is the latest group of teachers to agree to strike action if it becomes necessary.
OECTA held a vote across the province on October 18th and 19th, and an overwhelming 97% of members supported this decision. If they go on strike, it will impact all students in the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board.
English elementary teachers announced the same move earlier this week. 95% of their members voted in favor of taking such action if talks with the province stall.
