Small Business Week heads to Shawville, where Eric Sauvé already has big plans for Sublime Motorsports just a few months after it hit the ground running this summer.
Sauvé took a chance earlier this year by leaving his government job to bring his passion project to life, providing sales and service for dirtbikes, off-road vehicles, ATV’s, and snowmobiles, as well as all the gear and parts that come with them.
Even after doing his due diligence on where to set up, Shawville proved to be too enticing to pass up on due to how much opportunity for off-roading there is in the Ottawa Valley and Pontiac region.
His family also splits time between Hull and Shawville, which made setting up shop locally an even easier choice.
Sauvé adds that the community has rallied around Sublime Motorsports since they opened their doors, and both he and technician Lance Trudeau have a few ideas on how to boost off-roading in the Shawville area.
Another long-term goal is to put a dirtbike track on the Sublime Motorsports property, giving the community the safe and legal space to ride around, which it has sorely lacked.
Both ideas come from a need to give today’s younger generation more chances to get outdoors and enjoy what life has to offer in the region, according to Sauvé.
