Renfrew County is expecting quite the crowd when Taste of the Valley sets up its fall market in Cobden.
Their Business Development Officer, David Wybou, says that at least 125 vendors are expected at the Cobden Fairgrounds this Saturday to celebrate the best of what Ottawa Valley’s producers, vendors, and artisans have to offer.
Cobden is the fourth stop on the Taste of the Valley tour and is set to fill two buildings and a parking lot full of local delights and curiosities.
Speaking with myFM previously, Wybou explained how Taste of the Valley has become unlike any other farmers market in the area.
The goal of focusing on locally made goods has been made easier this year, as Wybou explains that the county staff have made a point to crack down on resellers with goods from outside the region.
They remind you that this year’s stop in Cobden has a later start than usual, with festivities happening from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14th.
After this weekend, Taste of the Valley will be on break until a special holiday market in Pembroke on December 16th.
