If you want to be Mayor of McNab-Braeside Township, your application is due Wednesday (October 18th) at 2PM.
No, it’s not another change at the top- this is for the municipality’s “Mayor for a Day” contest, and it’s only open to Township students, whether elementary or secondary- whether enrolled in an institution or home-schooled and, in case we need the category- learning remotely.
You can only apply once, and other conditions (as noted on our website) also apply.
The term of office is a short one.
Duties will be confined to Mayor for the Day Day only and involve a tour of facilities with the sitting Mayor as well as as well as ceremoniously calling a Council Meeting to order.
Email your application to mcannon@mcnabbraeside.com or hand deliver it to the Township of McNab/Braeside, at 2473 Russett Drive.
