The Town of Renfrew is working with a local advocacy group to do some good on Sunday, October 15th.
Community Outreach Coordinator, Janyne Fraser, says they and the Ottawa Valley Cycling and Active Transportation Alliance are holding a 10 kilometre walk, run, and bike along the changing colours of our own backyard.
The backdrop to the event is expected to be stunning, but Fraser says the day will also be a good chance to learn more about OVCATA and the work they do in and around Renfrew County.
The entry fee to take part is $10 per person, with early registration open right now at the Renfrew Recreation Centre on Argyle Street South as well as online.
If you prefer to do things last-minute, Fraser says they will be happy to help if you just show up on the day.
The 10-kilometer run, walk, and bike will support Hospice Renfrew, which provides end-of-life care for people in the Renfrew County area.
A barbeque will also be provided after you wrap up your journey along the Algonquin and Millennium trails.
